Running this headshot giveaway reminded me why I love what I do, so congratulations again to @isaacsaub_

Acting is one of the toughest industries out there. Rejection, waiting, more rejection and somewhere in there, you still have to keep showing up as your best self. So much is out of your control, the right room, the right casting, the right moment.

But a great headshot? That's one thing you absolutely can control. It's often the very first impression a casting director has of you, before you've said a single word.

I've been photographing actors for 17 years now, and I never forget how much a session can mean, not just the photos, but the confidence boost, the reminder that someone believes in your journey.

I can't give sessions away every day (as much as I'd love to!), but every so often I like to give something back to an industry that's given me a career that I love, and to back someone taking their next step forward.
